SUPPORT THE STATION THAT SUPPORTS LOCAL MUSIC

Three D Radio's Top 101 countdown

Three decades on Three D is still fiercely independent, committed to playing progressive, alternative music, and supporting local and Australian bands and artists.

Three D has been supporting local music for 30 years. During that time we've regularly compiled charts of our most-played music.

Congratulations to THE MOLTING VULTURES for taking home the coveted prize for the most played band/artist on Three D Radio in 2009.

Check out the Top 101 chart here.

Three D Radio Inflicts Itself On The World!

From 7pm on the 21st of December, Three D Radio 93.7FM streams to the World!

The audio stream was launched at our birthday and is available here or here. Try each one to see which works best for you.

And you can tell us where in the world you are receiving us - we'd really love to hear from you! Click here to email us.

If you are an Internode customer, connect via Internode's unmetered content page and you can listen without incurring any usage on your monthly Internode data allowance. Check out the full details of Internode's unmetered content here.

If you're unlucky enough not to be an Internode customer, be aware that our stream is a 128kbs MP3 stream and connecting to it will add about 60MB per hour to your internet data usage. You might want to take that into account before listening for long periods of time, as you may get a nasty surprise if you have to pay for excess data usage. Alternatively, you could talk to Internode!

Three D Radio's Broadcast licence

The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) recently approved the Progressive Music Broadcasting Association Inc's (PMBA) application for renewal of our community radio broadcasting licence. The renewal term is for five years, up until 4th January 2015.

The renewal of the PMBA's community broadcasting licence means that Three D radio can continue to broadcast contemporary, alternative and progressive music, and promote South Australian musician and performers, just as we've been doing for the last thirty years.

Special smiles for their own Monalisa

When Mona Lisa smiles, her parents are entranced. DJ Monski Mouse and performer Tony Roberts welcomed their first baby last week. Listening to 3D radio one Sunday, the Nat King Cole song Mona Lisa came on and Monski thought it was a perfect name.

‘‘If she comes out with an awry smile, then that’s the right name (we thought),’’ Monski says. ‘‘We think she’ll make people forget about the other Mona Lisa.’’

Monalisa Milagros Roberts Gonzalez was born on February 8, about two weeks late. ‘‘I got to catch her,’’ Tony says. ‘‘I don’t cry very often but I cried then.’’ When their little Mini Mouse first opened her eyes, she looked straight into her dad’s eyes.

‘‘Man, she’s got me. If she knows how much she’s got me, I’m a dead man,’’ he says.

Monalisa is a Fringe baby. Tony’s show, ShuffleMe Straight, is at the Casino from February 24 to March 13. But he says the experience of having a baby tops it in spades.

‘‘This is magic,’’ he says. ‘‘What I do is (just) tricks.’’

With parents as artistic as these two, we wonder what lies ahead for Monalisa.

Three D Radio is unique. It is the only major metropolitan broadcaster in Australia that is entirely run by volunteers. We have no paid staff or agents on commission. Every last cent of your subscription helps us to keep broadcasting and become a stronger, more independent organisation - and that helps us to play more local music.

ADELAIDE BANDS TAKE NOTE: As a local band subscriber, you can take advantage of our great subscriber promotional rates. Get over $350 worth of promotion for your gig for only $99. That's 21 x 30 second spots broadcast in the week leading up to your gig. There are also special giveaways for band subscribers during the year.
Please note: this offer is only open to local Adelaide bands promoting shows within the Adelaide region.
